On Monday the 3rd of August, from 7.15pm to 9pm, The Lawrence Art Society meets at Devizes Conservative Club. Man Down meets on Thursday the 6th of August, between 7pm and 9pm at Devizes Opendoors, The Southbroom Centre in Victoria Road. Man Down is a men's, eighteen plus group, dedicated to removing the stigma of men's mental health, getting men talking, and reducing male suicide. Their Devizes group meets fortnightly. Devizes Lions are running a Charity Car Boot Sale on Saturday the 8th of August at Lower Park Farm in Whistley Road, Potterne. Access will be signed, however, from the Caen Hill dual carriageway. The event is weather dependant. Sellers should arrive at 12 noon, and buyers at 1pm. It all ends at 3pm. Pitches cost £5 for cars or £10 for vans or trailers. Entry for buyers is £2 per car. Go along and support Devizes Lions, a not for profit organisation, with the proceeds going back into supporting local causes in the town. Thu 13 Aug Summer Pirate Cruises From The Wharf

There are Summer Pirate Cruises taking place on Thursday the 13th of August, between 10.30am and 12.30pm and from 1pm to 2.30pm, from The Wharf. Blood on the Clocktower, a Social Deduction Murder Mystery Game, takes place at St Andrew's Church, in Long Street, from 1pm until 11pm, on Saturday the 15th of August. The game is similar to The Traitors, where players work together to uncover hidden evil, while the evil team tries to stay uncovered. Summer at the Base, of The Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance Base, in Outmarsh, Semington, takes place on Saturday the 22nd of August between 12 noon and 4pm. The Devizes Town Council Annual Town's Meeting and Civic Awards take place in The Assembly Room of The Town Hall on the evening of Thursday the 15th of April from 6.45, but those attending are asked to be in their seats by 6.30. The committee chairpersons will summarise the council's activities from the past year and address any town concerns, along with the actions taken to resolve them. During the meeting, the public can ask questions about council decisions, and get to understand the council's position on local matters. Parishioners are most welcome to attend and participate. The meeting will be followed by the Civic Awards Ceremony.

The Fulltone Music Festival 2027 takes place on Saturday the 10th and Sunday the 11th of July, at Lower Park Farm, Whistley Road, Potterne. Sundays Morning Miles Running Club From The Market Cross

The Morning Miles Running Club meets every Sunday morning at 9 o'clock, at The Cross, here in The Market Place. You don’t need to be a runner. You don’t need to be fit. You don’t need to commit to anything. Walk, jog or run, at your own pace, then join in for a coffee and a chat afterwards, at a local café. Details of future run routes, and further information, is available on Instagram. Morning Miles is set up for local people, and supports local businesses.

2nd Sunday Wild and Messy Church in Bishops Cannings

At 4pm on the second Sunday of evey month, The Wild and Messy Family Church takes place at Bishops Cannings School. It brings together all ages for hands on activities, both indoors and outdoors. It's for all children, from any school. Go along and enjoy time together as a family, exploring faith, on a relaxed, welcoming space. Refreshments are also provided.

Mondays Line Dancing at The Conservative Club

Between 1pm and 1.45pm every Monday, Wild Ones Lunchtime Country Line Dancing Lassons take place at The Conservative Club in Long Street. It's a friendly, enjoyable class, with easy to follow steps, great music, and a comfortable pace. The cost is £6 per session, no partner is needed, and all abilities are welcome. 1st Monday Devizes Cafe Scientifique in Great Cheverell

On the first Monday of each month, at 7.30pm, The Devizes Cafe Scientifique meets at The Bell Inn in Great Cheverell. Cafe Scientifique is a place where, for the price of a cup of coffee, or a glass of wine, anyone can go along to have a conversation about the latest ideas in science and technology. Meetings take place at various venues, always outside a traditional academic context.

Tuesdays Tuesday Art Group in Market Lavington

Every Tuesday morning from 9.30am to 12.45pm, The Lawrence Art Society runs an Art Group in Market Lavington Village Hall. The aim of the group is to improve and share skills and techniques, through social painting. Tuesdays Devizes Chamber Choir at St Andrew's Church

The Devizes Chamber Choir rehearses every Tuesday evening between 7.30 and 9.30 at St Andrew's Church in Long Street. If you're interested in joining the choir, please go along to a rehearsal and meet them. The Choir is a group of around thirty singers, formed in 1978, and has a broad repertoire. The programme normally comprises three concerts a year, a spring concert of standard classical works, a summer concert of lighter music, and a Christmas concert of carols and other music.

Tuesdays Devizes Community Choir in Sheep Street

Between 8 o'clock and 9 o'clock every Tuesday evening, The Devizes Community Choir meets at The Sheep Street Church Hall. The cost is just £5 per week. Go along and be part of The Big Sound, and something totally joyous. What do you need to take along? A bottle of water, your voice, and masses of enthusiasm. Do you need to be able to sing? No, you just need to want to sing, and make a marvellous noise.What will you be singing? Everything, and you don’t need to read music either, you’ll be taught by ear and get loads of support.

Tuesdays and Fridays Plot 35 at Windsor Drive Allotments

Plot 35 Devizes is a community group which takes advantage of the positive impact that gardening and connecting with nature can have on our health. Plot 35 tends an allotment plot in Devizes which provides a place to feel valued and gain a sense of belonging. 2nd and 4th Tuesdays Bereavement Help Point at The Bear

The Bereavement Help Point is a community-based drop-in service where all people who are bereaved are welcome. It's a space to meet and talk with others who may be experiencing similar thoughts and feelings, in an informal and supportive setting. All sessions are free of charge, and there's no need to book. It takes place on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month, at The Bear Hotel in the Market Place, and runs from 10.30am to 12.30pm. It's an event developed by St Giles Hospice Care, funded by Devizes Town Council, Devizes Lions, Worton and Potterne Parish Councils, and delivered by Dorothy House and Carer Support Wiltshire.

Last Tuesday Lions Bingo Night at The Conservative Club

On the last Tuesday of each month, with the exception of December, starting at 8pm, but with the doors opening at 7.30pm, there's a Devizes Lions Bingo Night at The Conservative Club in Long Street. The entry fee is £8, which includes four strips for six games. Entry is for over eighteens only. There will be opportunities to buy more bingo strips on the door, and there'll also be a bar available for drinks and snacks, where cash and cards will be accepted. Go along and enjoy the fun. All the proceeds will go to Devizes Lions Club.

Wednesdays Welcoming Wednesdays in Rowde

Wednesdays Songbirds at The Salem Chapel

Every Wednesday, there are three sessions of Songbirds at The Salem Chapel in New Park Street. Little Songbirds, for ages five to ten, meets from 5pm to 6pm. Senior Songbirds, for ages eleven to fifteen, meets from 6pm to 7pm. Devizes Songbirds, for ages sixteen and above, meets from 7pm to 8.30pm. The sessions are run by Katherine Cooke Choirs and no audition is needed, just a joy of singing. The first visit is a free trial, thereafter it's £6 a week for children and £8 a week for adults.

Wednesdays Jam Night at The Southgate Inn

From 7.30 each Wednesday evening at The Southgate Inn on Potterne Road, a Jam Night takes place. There's no need to book, and no fee, just go along, take an instrument, and join in the jam. Everyone's welcome, and taking part earns you your first drink on the house. The Southgate breathes live music, and they love seeing all abilities relaxing together.

Wednesdays Chess Club in Sidmouth Street

The Devizes Chess Club meets each Wednesday evening from 7.30 until 10.30 at Game Knights in Sidmouth Street. All are welcome to go along. If you cannot play, but would like to learn, you're also welcome at the meetings.

Wednesdays Quiz Night at The Cavalier

Wednesday night is Quiz Night at The Cavalier Pub in Eastleigh Road. It all starts at 8pm each week, with six rounds of questions, and music, plus a hand out picture round. It's just £1 per person to enter, with either four or six to a team. The winning team takes the prize pot. There's also a game of Play Your Cards Right at the end of the quiz, at just £1 per ticket. If nobody wins, the prize rolls over, and should it reach £500, then there's a guaranteed winner that week. Snacks are available from behind the bar, making this the best way to spend a mid week evening.

1st Wednesday Carers Cafe at The Bear Hotel

From 10.30am until 12 noon on the first Wednesday of each month, Carers Together Wiltshire presents their Carers Cafe in The Bear Hotel, here in The Market Place. If you're an unpaid carer, go along for a chat, relax, and catch up with others. It's all about connecting, having fun, and looking after your mental well being. 1st and 3rd Wednesdays Ladies' Evening Group at St Andrew's Church

Every first and third Wednesday, from 7.30pm, The Ladies' Evening Group meets in St Andrew's Church Hall in Long Street. An Over Fifties Daytime Disco takes place on the third Wednesday of each month, between 2pm and 4pm at The Conservative Club in Long Street. DJ, Andy Saunders, will be playing all the greatest hits from the fifties, sixties, seventies, and eighties, for you to listen or dance to. Entry is £5 in cash, and that includes free tea or coffee. A licensed bar is also available. There's no need to book, you just turn up and enjoy yourself.

3rd Wednesday Flower Club in The Town Hall

On the third Wednesday of each month, The Devizes Flower Club meets upstairs in The Town Hall. The doors open at 7pm for a 7.30 start. Visitors are welcome at meetings for a £6 fee, or you can join the club for an annual membership of £35. Each meeting includes a raffle of floral designs, and refreshments are available. There are professional guest demonstrators, hands on practical sessions, and seasonal workshops. If you love flowers, then go along and join in. The club also supports local charities.

Every Thursday, between 10am and 12.15pm, Renew Fifteen, a cafe style wellbeing space, takes place at Sheep Street Baptist Church Hall. It's a quiet, shared space, where it's okay not to be okay. Everything is free. The activities are based around the five ways of wellbeing, which promote good mental, and emotional health. Thursdays Theatre Club at The Wharf Theatre

The Thursday Theatre Club takes place every Thursday afternoon between 2 o'clock and 4 o'clock at The Wharf Theatre in Couch Lane. It's a weekly theatre skills workshop, led by Debby Wilkinson, for adults looking to develop and maintain creativity, whilst having great fun. Thursdays Community Choir in Market Lavington

Every Thursday, from 8pm until 9.45pm, Lavington Community Choir meets at The Market Lavington Community Hall in St Mary's Road. Go along and join them, all are welcome. 1st Thursday Grief to Growth at St Andrew's Church

On the first Thursday of every month, between 10am and 11.30am, there's a Grief to Growth Cafe at St Andrew's Church in Long Street. It's a Bereavement Support Group specifically for Under Fifites. If you're grieving any kind of loss, you don't have to carry it alone. Join in for a cuppa, gentle support, and a safe space to talk, listen, or simply be. It's a warm, non judgemental group, led by Wendy Grainger, a qualified grief and loss specialist. Tea or coffee is £1, but with free refills.

1st Thursday Open Mic Night in Horton

On the first Thursday evening of each month, an Open Mic Night takes place from 7.30 until 10.30, at The Bridge Inn in Horton. Whether you're a first timer or a seasoned regular, why not go along and show off your talent?

2nd and 4th Thursdays Games Night at St James' Centre

On the second and fourth Thursday of each month, it's the St James Centre Community and Board Games Night. It takes place at the centre, in Estcourt Crescent, Devizes, from 7pm. It's your chance to hang out, chat, play games, meet, and make friends. Card and board games are provided, or bring along your own favourites.

3rd Thursday Connections and Collections at The Wiltshire Museum

On the third Thursday of each month, between 10.30am and 12 noon, The Wiltshire Museum in Long Street presents Connections and Collections. Engage with heritage, and see objects up close. Go along to check out a different theme each month. View artefacts and join in a discussion. The events are aimed at older adults, and are dementia friendly. The cost is £6, with accompanying carers free. Booking in advance is optional, through wiltshiremuseum.org.uk.

3rd Thursday Explore It at The Wiltshire Museum

On the third Thursday of each month, between 3.45pm and 5pm, The Wiltshire Museum in Long Street presents Explore It, for families of children aged between six and eleven, with younger siblings welcome. It's after school fun, exploring the museum. Join in for a different theme each session, from dinosaurs to Egyptians. It's followed by a hot dinner for the whole family. The whole event is free, but booking in advance is required, through wiltshiremuseum.org.uk.

Last Thursday Open Mic Night at The Bear Hotel

From 7.15pm on the last Thursday of each month, in The Cellar Bar of The Bear Hotel, here in The Market Place, there's an LF9 Open Mic Night. Entry is free. It's presented by John E Wright, and the LF9 means it's low fuss, and two songs, or possibly pieces of poetry, are allowed in nine minutes. Go along and enjoy an evening of musical variety, with a wide range of guitar and vocal talent. Emphasis is on solo acts and duos, not bands. The focus is for a simple set up and maximum music time. No amplifiers, guitar pedals, drums, backing tracks, or jamming. The evening is close to unplugged.

Fridays Devizes Public Living Room at The Cheese Hall

The Devizes Public Living Room is an event which takes place every Friday afternoon, from 1pm to 4pm in The Cheese Hall at Devizes Town Hall. Fridays Good Afternoon Choir at St Andrew's Church

Come along and meet your local community choir. The no-audition, and friendly, Good Afternoon Choir, meets on Friday afternoons from 1pm until 3pm, at St Andrew's Church in Long Street. Fridays in Term Time Friday Club in Maryport Street

On Fridays during school term time, The Friday Club, for children, is held at The Maryport Street Baptist Chapel between 6pm and 7.15pm. 1st and 3rd Fridays Rhyme Times in Market Lavington

From 10.15am to 10.45am on the first and third Fridays of the month, it's Rhyme Times at Market Lavington Library. Primary school children are also welcome for these regular singing events.

Saturdays The Quakers Walk Parkrun

Every Saturday, from 9am, a 5k parkrun takes place at Quakers Walk in Devizes. Anyone, aged four and above, is welcome, as are dogs on short leads. Why not join in, for a walk, jog, or run? More information can be found at parkrun.org.uk/quakerswalk.

Saturdays Family Games at Devizes Library

From 10am to 3.30pm every Saturday, a selection of family games is available to play at Devizes Library. Young children should be supervised when playing games with small pieces. The games are also available on other days of the week, but must then be requested from staff at the desk.

Saturdays Afternoon Parties at The Pelican Inn

At The Pelican Inn, here in The Market Place, Saturday Afternoon Parties take place every week between 3 o'clock and 5 o'clock. The performers change every week, but they're always local people. Go along and enjoy the fun.

1st Saturday Devizes Farmers Market in The Market Place

The Devizes Farmers Market takes place on the first Saturday of every month, in the Market Place, from 9am to 3pm. It featurs local traders, and their fantastic local goods, from within a thirty mile radius of the town.

1st and 3rd Saturdays Forces Breakfast Club at The Castle Hotel

The Breakfast Club is run by the Devizes Armed Forces and Veterans Club, on the first and third Saturdays of each month, from 9.30am, at The Castle Hotel in New Park Street, The aim of the club is to bring service personal and their families, as well as veterans who are living in Devizes together, to combat loneliness, and to have a catch up over breakfast.

2nd and 4th Saturdays Get Together Club at St Andrew's Church

On the second and fourth Saturdays of every month, between 11am and 1pm, The Get Together Club will meet at St Andrew's Church in Long Street. There will be tables, with colourful craft, board and card games, and word games. This Table Time will be followed by Room Time, where people can tell the room what they have been doing, before hearing three minute talks or songs. Room Time will be followed by Down Time. Hot and soft drinks will be available throughout the sessions.
